When we wake up in the morning, how we feel can dictate how the rest of our day goes. I make it a habit to wake up, be thankful and smile. Our daily thoughts are important and each individual has to make a conscience decision to think happy and good thoughts for their overall well being. Why are these thoughts so important? Psychology researcher Suzanne Segerstrom suggests that positive thinkers or optimist are both psychologically and physiologically healthier.
The objective is to create a healthy overall life style of well being so that we can extend our life expectancy. Who can agree that the overall environment has changed drastically over the last twenty years affecting us from the economy to the increased toxins that seem to be in foods we consume. Understand that everything is a work in progress; however awareness and prevention is our goal to share information while helping others make healthier choices.
So the goal of today is to consciously focus on happy thoughts and things that make you smile. This will prepare you for one of my upcoming stories on bringing smiles to others. Everything starts first with the one in the mirror and we have to be better in order to help others.
Happy Thoughts,
Cheri Amour
